| The
weekend went well. The only issues being a student who suffered a flat tyre
on the journey down, and another student whose camper (Colin) had to be
recovered from the beach carpark after beach training on Saturday, due to
the brakes falling apart! After everyone's safe arrival at the camp on Friday evening, it was early to bed (well earlyish), ready for the first day's training |

jog to the beach followed by a swim in the sea (very refreshing).Enpi was
the chosen kata for the weekend. During the first session, Sensei took the
students through the kata for the first time. Once everyone had been through
the kata, Sensei explained some of the bunkai, which was followed by the
students practicing the bunkai from Enpi against simulated attacks. Later in the afternoon beach training was the order of the day. The beach session covered Ippon Kimite, Kata Embusen and sea training. Phew! end of day one. After a wash and brush up, it was a barbecue and team games, before lights out |
